Our winter sports seasons will get underway on December 2nd with a busy first week of competitions! The KSHSAA has made several modifications to the winter season in hopes of providing the safest possible environment for our student-athletes and coaches to compete. These modifications include:
- No spectators will be allowed at any athletic events through January 28th.
- The winter break moratorium has been extended. There will be no practices December 23 – January 3rd. Practices will resume on January 4th.
- There will be no competitions December 23 – January 6th. Competitions may resume on January 8th.
- All participants involved in any event must wear a mask. The only exception is the athlete and/or officials during active play.
The Blue Valley School District has partnered with the NFHS Network to provide livestreaming of all events held in our main gym. We have adjusted our basketball game schedules so that all games and levels can be streamed. For more information click: NFHS Information
We will be streaming our swim/dive meets either through YouTube or Facebook Live. More information will be provided.
While the winter seasons will look and feel different than usual, the kids are getting to play! We hope, with these modifications and building level mitigations, we can continue to provide a competitive winter season for our student-athletes.
